Emporva x Odenn

//The WHAT

Home projects are broken — no one owns the coordination layer. Homeowners struggle to diagnose issues and manage maintenance, while contractors lack lightweight tooling to manage jobs and customers in one place
}
)
Emporva set out to solve a fundamental gap in the home ownership experience. Homeowners have no structured way to diagnose, prioritise, and manage property issues — from a leaking pipe to routine maintenance. Contractors, meanwhile, juggle fragmented tooling across CRM, job tracking, and communications spread across multiple apps. Emporva needed a platform that served both sides of the market, from first diagnosis to final sign-off, with AI at the centre of the experience.

Odenn Studio was engaged as the full-stack technical partner to architect and build Emporva's MVP from the ground up — owning all back-end infrastructure while collaborating on front-end delivery
}
)
Odenn Studio operated as technical co-founders, not contractors. We owned the complete back-end architecture — a Node.js API layer with Postgres data modelling, S3 storage for photos and documents, role-based authentication for homeowners and contractors, and Stripe integration for tiered subscriptions with usage-based gating. SendGrid and Twilio powered email and SMS notifications throughout the platform.
The AI intake and diagnostic workflow formed the primary product wedge. Homeowners describe an issue and upload photos, then receive structured AI clarifying questions before a category diagnosis is delivered in seconds — including trade routing, safety steps, and urgency levels. We implemented a tailored LLM via API with structured JSON output and a trade category classifier covering plumbing, HVAC, electrical, roofing, and more.
The homeowner dashboard serves as a property command centre with active job tracking, real-time messaging, photo sharing, and approvals. Property profiles capture systems, appliances, utilities, and a document vault for manuals and warranties. An agentic AI layer provides lifespan estimation, preventative recommendations, and resale data enrichment. The contractor dashboard delivers a lightweight CRM with job pipeline management, two-way messaging, customer records, CSV lead import, and company profile management.

From zero to live MVP — three interconnected product surfaces and a complete back-end infrastructure, delivered with structured post-launch support
}
)
Odenn Studio delivered Emporva's full MVP encompassing the AI intake engine, homeowner command centre, contractor CRM, billing layer, auth system, notifications, storage, and API layer. The architecture — React front-end with client ownership, Node.js back-end, Postgres database, S3 storage, RBAC auth, and Stripe billing — was built to scale from day one.
Post-launch, we committed to one month of bug fixes and tuning, retaining architectural familiarity for future phases and participating in product planning on request. Emporva now has the technical foundation to turn an ambitious vision — building the intelligence layer for home ownership — into a real, market-ready product.
